From Passion to Purpose: An Evening of Travel, Grit, and Growth with Mr. Vivek Chandra Bharathi

Every entrepreneurial journey has a beginning—and Mr. Vivek Chandra Bharathi’s began far from boardrooms or pitch decks. Starting out by working with men’s vest clothing on a weekly basis in Tiruppur, he witnessed business at its most grassroots level, learning the value of effort, negotiation, and consistency first-hand. Determined to expand his horizons, he pursued his studies alongside work, gradually shaping a vision that would later evolve into a full-fledged travel enterprise. This progression—from modest beginnings to building a brand with national and international relevance—set the tone for an immersive and insight-rich session hosted by the Entrepreneurs Club.

The evening featured Vivek in his current roles as Founder & CEO of Trabliss Holidays, travel speaker, and digital growth strategist—on a mission to inspire and empower students and travelpreneurs by translating real-world experiences into actionable business insight. Trabliss Holidays emerged from a desire to create journeys that go beyond destinations. Today, the brand caters to group departures, educational tours, corporate events and MICE, and customised travel experiences, driven by creative itineraries, service quality, and an unwavering focus on customer experience.

What made the session truly compelling was its highly interactive narrative style. Vivek kept the audience engaged through sharp questioning, situational humour, and cinematic references that mirrored his own struggles and turning points. These moments transformed abstract entrepreneurial concepts into relatable, lived experiences.
A standout segment focused on idea pitching and brand storytelling under constraints. Vivek shared how his early team operated with nothing more than an iPad—no DSLR, no studio setup. Later, with a rented camera, they produced a cinematic travel video that conveyed emotion, trust, and aspiration. That single visual narrative became a powerful tool to attract customers and investors alike, reinforcing the importance of storytelling over resources.

The most moving portion of the session addressed the COVID-19 lockdown, when the travel industry came to a standstill. Despite zero revenue, Vivek chose responsibility over retreat—officially coordinating travel during the E-pass phase and personally bearing significant costs to help North Indian labourers return home to Assam, Nepal, and West Bengal. His account underscored leadership rooted in empathy, not convenience.

Blending practical insights on travel entrepreneurship, tourism branding, digital growth, and investor engagement with deeply human stories, the session left students not just informed, but inspired—affirming that sustainable ventures are built on resilience, clarity of vision, and the courage to start small while thinking big.
